A few weeks ago, Corey calls me from work and says, "is it okay if I go to Alaska for a few days in a week and a half?" What?!?! Alaska! No, we really don't have money to go to Alaska last minute, dear! He tells me it will all be paid for by our friend Lance's company (Empire Machinery). Sure! How does that work? Oh, it's all PR dear, he tells me. I actually called Lance myself to confirm since I wasn't so sure. So, sure enough, a week and a half later, Corey, Lance, and another friend, Jeff all boarded the plane and went to Alaska on a 7-day fishing trip. Notice it was just for a few days, but somehow all of the sudden it turned into a week trip! Anyways, what a great experience! And of course they brought back over 100 pounds of fish. Fish fry, here we come! This management position is sure seeming to have its perks! P.S. The picture of the boat is the one that they took way out into the ocean, where the swells were bigger than the boat. I had to add it, since Corey has great memories of that boat! He ended up very sea sick out on that boat for over half a day (yes, throwing up over the side of the boat several times, even though he took Dramamine)!
